How to add a stamp to a PDF
Save your stamp once, drag it onto the page, export. Four steps, in the browser or on your Mac, with no printer and no scanner.
Step 1 — Get an image of your stamp
Any photo or PNG of the stamp works: your company stamp, a notary or approval stamp, your signature. Press one clean impression on white paper and photograph it, or choose No — use my phone in the app and take the photo with your phone. The paper is cut away as the image is read, so the stamp sits on the PDF as ink rather than as a white box. Need a PAID stamp for invoices? Download one of the free PAID stamp templates.
Step 2 — Add it at its real size
Open the web app, click Add… in the stamps panel, choose Yes — upload and pick the image. Type the stamp's Real size on paper and click Save stamp. It stays in your stamps panel for every PDF after this one.
Step 3 — Put the stamp on the PDF
Open the PDF and drag the stamp onto the page. It lands at its real printed size on A4, Letter or any other page. Move it, turn it by the handle above it, or resize it. To insert the same stamp on every page, select it and click Apply to next pages.
Step 4 — Export the stamped PDF
Click Save As…. You get a new PDF with the stamp drawn into the page, and the original file stays as it was.
Can I add a stamp to a PDF for free?
Yes. The Free plan stamps 20 documents a year with every feature, and Plus, for unlimited documents, is free during the beta. There is no watermark on the stamped copy and no card to start.
Can I add a signature and a stamp to the same PDF?
Yes. Save your signature as a second stamp and drag both onto the page. See how to make a signature stamp for PDFs and how to use your company stamp on PDFs.
